Ballasts: choose one that matches your lamp
For HPS or MH lighting, the ballast and lamp need to be compatible. Note the lamp type, rated wattage and exact model before replacing a device. A ballast for these discharge lamps is not interchangeable with an arbitrary LED driver.
Power settings do not mean universal compatibility
The electronic 600 W unit listed here offers 250, 400, 600 and 660 W settings according to its description. The setting permitted for your lamp depends on the specific combination and manufacturer instructions. The highest setting is not suitable for every lamp.
Allow separately for the reflector cable
An input cable with a Swiss plug is specified. The connection cable to the reflector is explicitly excluded from the contents. Check the intended use of existing cables and connectors; a matching plug shape alone does not establish electrical compatibility.
