Sprayers
Choose a sprayer for the amount of work
A small hand sprayer is practical for individual plants and modest quantities of liquid. A pressure sprayer provides more capacity for longer tasks. The range includes the 0.5-litre Birchmeier Foxy Plus, a 1.5-litre Toolland pressure sprayer and a 5-litre Tukan model. Choose according to the quantity required and how easily you can reach your plants.
Compare spray pattern and working method
The Foxy Plus works in different positions, helping you reach awkward areas. With pressure sprayers, consider the nozzle, handling and cleaning arrangements as well as tank capacity. The Aquamix is a fertiliser mixer connected to a water supply, so it serves a different purpose from a conventional hand sprayer. Decide whether you want to apply a prepared solution or add liquid fertiliser while watering.
Match the liquid to the equipment
Not every liquid is compatible with every sprayer. Follow the equipment manufacturer's approvals and the instructions for the product being applied. Owning a sprayer does not establish whether a particular application is permitted. Measure mixtures carefully and clean the tank and nozzle as directed. Also consider the filling opening, carrying comfort and reach needed for your routine.
