Root mat
Cut root matting to fit your NFT system
The root matting listed here is specifically described for NFT irrigation systems. Before buying, check that its format and intended use suit your equipment. Follow the system manufacturer's guidance for placing the mat and routing the nutrient solution.
Plan for a 20 cm width and 30 m roll
The roll is listed as 20 cm wide and 30 m long. Measure the area to be lined and add up the lengths of the required strips. A straight one-metre strip uses one metre of the roll and remains 20 cm wide. Allow for cutting and leftover pieces when estimating quantities.
Check installation and water flow together
The mat must fit its intended position without obstructing access to the inlet and return. Check the system layout and free drainage before planting. Keep unused sections clean and ready for the next cut. The product is listed as a complete 30-metre roll; distinguish that sales unit from a single running metre.
