Choose water filtration for the result you need
Do you want to reduce particles and chlorine in irrigation water, or specifically lower its salt content? The answer determines the filtration technology required. The Growmax Garden Grow 480 offered here uses two stages: a sediment filter and an activated carbon filter. It is a water filtration system, not a reverse osmosis unit.
What do the performance figures mean?
For the Garden Grow, 480 l/h is the stated flow rate. The manufacturer's figure of 27,000 litres describes filtration capacity. It is neither reservoir volume nor a fixed replacement interval for every water quality. Follow the instructions for the specific unit and consider your source water when planning filter changes and maintenance.
For deliberately reducing dissolved salts or EC, the manufacturer identifies separate reverse osmosis systems. Do not infer this function from the word “osmosis” in the category name. First establish which characteristic of your water you want to change.
Plan connections and cartridge access
Compare your water supply connection with the hose fittings supplied. The Garden Grow manual specifies cold water and a permitted inlet pressure. Leave space to open the filter housings as well. An accessible installation point makes future cartridge changes and the required flushing easier.
