Choose square pots by footprint and substrate volume
Square plant pots are easy to arrange on benches and in trays. Plan using both external dimensions and the stated capacity. Do not calculate litres directly from the outside measurements: shape, walls and usable filling height affect the space inside.
From small propagation pots to larger containers
The 7 × 7 × 8 cm, 0.2-litre pot is explicitly described as a thin, single-use PE pot. Other sizes have their own material specifications. The 18- and 30-litre models are listed as polypropylene copolymer with drainage holes.
For comparison, the 7-litre pot measures 20 × 20 × 25 cm and the 11-litre pot 25 × 25 × 25.5 cm. The 18-litre version measures 30.5 × 30.5 × 30.5 cm, while the 30-litre version measures 36.5 × 36.5 × 36 cm. Allow extra room for plant spacing and watering access.
Plan potting on according to need
Choose size according to the root ball, plant species and intended time in the container. A general number of months is not enough. Keep drainage holes clear and provide suitable water collection. The coco products also listed supply substrate or a filled growbag; they are not empty square pots.

Plagron - Premium Growbag, 3.4L
Der Plagron Premium Growbag 3,4 L ist ein gepresster Coco-Block im Beutel – kein Stofftopf. Das gewaschene, gepufferte Kokossubstrat liefert hohe Luft- und Wasserführung und ist nach dem Aufquellen sofort einsatzbereit. Anwendung Langsam 1,7 L Wasser zugeben und 24 Stunden quellen lassen, anschließend weitere 0,7 L nachgießen. Ergebnis: ca. 3,4 L gebrauchsfertiges Coco mit max. 10 % Drain. Bei jeder Bewässerung eine Nährlösung verwenden und den pH-Wert der Lösung auf 5,5–6,5 einstellen.
