Capillary irrigation: distribute water to several pots
Thin capillary tubes carry water from a distributor to individual pots. They make a fixed arrangement of several watering points possible. Extending a system needs different parts from replacing a damaged tube, so first check which main line, distributors and drippers are already fitted.
Consider the tube and dripper together
On the 3.2 × 0.8 mm capillary tube, the dimensions refer to outer and inner diameter. A tube with a similar outside size may have a different bore. The matching 45° end dripper is available separately; the Open T version already includes one metre of tubing. Its visible drip outlet makes each watering point easier to check.
The twelve-outlet TopSpin distributor has 100 cm capillaries and is intended for connection to a 25 mm PE pipe. A replacement capillary is only a single line with a dripper. Keep this distinction in mind when ordering replacements.
Allow for water supply and maintenance
For CNL drippers, the stated flow rate is a selection criterion; it is not a universal watering quantity for every plant. The supply and operating pressure must suit the dripper. An appropriate filter keeps particles out of fine lines. Plan an accessible filter and a shut-off point so that parts can be cleaned or replaced.
