Understand fabric pots, growbags and coco blocks
Decide whether you need an empty plant container, substrate for filling one, or both together. The coco products listed here serve different purposes. The name growbag alone does not establish a fabric material or an empty container.
Premium Growbag: coco inside a planting bag
The 3.4-litre Plagron Premium Growbag already contains compressed coco. Prepare it with water according to its instructions. The manufacturer describes the coco as washed and buffered but unfertilised, so plan suitable feeding. The stated capacity refers to the prepared substrate.
Coco XL: substrate for your existing container
The Advanced Coco XL Block is expanded separately and then used to fill suitable plant containers. Its product description states approximately 70 litres after rehydration. Compare this amount with your pots' usable capacity and allow enough space for expansion.
If you are looking for an empty fabric pot, check the selected item's material, dimensions and contents. Match the filled container and water collection to its location. A growbag containing substrate and a pot that needs separate filling require different preparation.

Plagron - Premium Growbag Coco-Block, 3,4 Liter
