SMSCOM, Smart Controller MK2 EU - with temperature sensor

The SMSCOM Smart Controller MK2 is a compact ventilation controller in a plug-in housing. The maximum current is 6.5 amps. The SMSCOM Smart Controller is electronically regulated and offers a simple and accurate way to achieve the right temperature in your room (with NTC connected). The SMSCOM Smart Controller continuously regulates the speed of your fans and maintains the correct temperature.

How it works:

The Smart Controller works with our Motion Flow Software. This means the Smart Controller responds completely differently from other types of controllers. When you first install the Smart Controller, the system needs 5 to 10 minutes to scan the room so that the fan speed can be determined correctly. The controller then knows exactly how fast the fan needs to run to maintain the desired temperature. From this point on, the Smart Controller automatically adjusts the fan speed to ensure the set temperature is maintained continuously. The Smart Controller offers more than 60 different speed settings, providing smooth fan speed regulation and temperature control with precision unmatched by any other type of controller. In addition to highly precise temperature control, this new technology ensures reduced fan noise and a longer fan service life. The Smart Controller is ready to use immediately, so no wiring is required. Simply connect your fan and set the desired temperature and minimum fan speed: the Smart Controller takes care of everything else.

Using the device:

1. Connect the temperature sensor to the Smart ¹
2. Connect the Smart Controller to a mains socket.
3. Install the temperature sensor in the centre of the room.
4. Connect your fan to the Smart Controller.
5. Set the desired minimum fan speed.²
6. Set the desired temperature.

¹ Without a temperature sensor, the Smart functions as a manual fan controller.

²Minimum fan speed: This is the lowest speed at which your fan operates. The lower the speed, the larger the operating range in which the fan has to work. We recommend choosing the lowest setting. This means the fan operates within a range between slow idle and maximum speed to maintain a constant room temperature. If necessary, the lowest speed can be adjusted to suit your fan type.

The Smart Controller now scans your room. PLEASE BE PATIENT! This process can take 5 to 10 minutes!!

During scanning, the Smart Controller runs at 100% for a few seconds and then at the fan’s lowest speed setting. After 5 to 10 minutes, the controller operates at the correct speed and no further manual adjustments are required. The Smart Controller automatically makes adjustments as needed to maintain the temperature.

Important note

• Do not install the temperature sensor directly in the fan’s airflow. This is important to ensure reliable operation.
• Connecting fans that exceed the power limit of 5A/1000 watts will cause permanent damage to the device.
