Product information "Terra Aquatica (GHE) - Ebb & Grow System, 95 × 95 × 38 cm"

The ebb-and-flow method, also known as EBB&GROW®, irrigates from below: The substrate is flooded with nutrient solution. When the pump switches off, the solution drains back into the reservoir. This regular rise and fall ensures an optimal oxygen supply in the root zone.

The system suits beginners looking for a technically simple, easy-to-use method as well as experienced growers. Its modular design adapts to different environmental requirements and can noticeably increase yields.

This versatile growing system accommodates many pot sizes, materials and shapes. It also works with numerous substrates and mixes, including expanded clay, coco fibre, perlite and soil.

Further advantages:

Minimal maintenance and care can completely prevent leaks and overflowing.
Its autonomy keeps plants supplied even during absences of several days.
The system is easy to clean.

What the developer says:

In “Hydroponics for Everybody” (Mama Editions, Paris, France), William Texier describes ebb and flow as “an excellent method that works wonders. It follows the first rule of hydroponics: supply the roots with oxygen. By slowly raising and lowering the water level, ebb and flow provides an optimal oxygen supply, one of the main requirements of a good growing system. Rising water flushes used air away from the roots, and draining water brings in new, fresh air.” (p. 38)

Why we are so proud of EBB&GROW®:

EBB&GROW® is made at our facility in France from 100% recycled plastic* using a process that gives it unrivalled durability. We are the only company on the market to offer a LIFETIME GUARANTEE** on the moulded plastic reservoir and growing tray. Even so, the system costs no more than comparable products.
The compact design accommodates up to 32 plastic pots measuring 15 × 15 cm or 22 one-gallon (3.75 l) mesh pots without wasting space.
The system supports any load: The reservoir supports the growing tray in the centre so it cannot deform.
Low height: At only 38 cm, it leaves ample room for plants to develop.
High-capacity reservoir: up to 100 l of nutrient solution.
Very low power consumption: 6.5 W.

Application:

Pots (not included):

Plastic pots as the economical option
Mesh pots

Substrate:

Expanded clay (Grorox)
Coco fibre or a coco-perlite mix
Soil
Rockwool

Tip: You can also work without pots and create a bed of different substrates. Ensure adequate drainage.

Timer:

The ebb-and-flow method requires a timer to regulate the irrigation cycle. The timer is not included. For irrigation periods shorter than 15 minutes, use a digital timer with minute-by-minute programming.

Pump cycles depend on:

the type and amount of substrate
the climatic conditions
the consumption of your plants
