What can isopropanol actually be used for? Isopropanol for cleaning glass surfaces Since IPA not only cleans grease-free, but also streak-free, all glass surfaces can be cleaned without leaving annoying streaks. To do this, mix IPA 99% in a ratio of 70% with 30% distilled water. If you are unsure whether it is really glass, test it on an inconspicuous area. This allows the print bed to be cleaned completely without leaving any residue. Please contact the manufacturer of your 3D printer and make sure which parts are cleaned and how. Please note that all parts must be allowed to cool before using isopropanol.
