This EC ventilation controller for exhaust fans has temperature, minimum-speed and maximum-speed settings adjustable using three knobs. It is easy to operate. The controller comes with a 4 m fan cable with a 3.5 mm 3-pole stereo jack (Can-Fan) or RJ45 connector (Primaklima, Carbonactive), plus a 4 m temperature sensor. It is supplied fully assembled and ready to use. The output is a 0–10 V or PWM (pulse-width modulation) signal, selectable via a jumper. Extremely low current consumption allows the controller to operate without a power supply, powered directly by the EC fan.

Adjustment range:

• Temperature: 20 °C to 30 °C
• Minimum speed: off, 20% to -100%
• Maximum speed: 100% to -50%

Is a power supply required?

With or without a power supply? Depending on your EC fan, you need a supply of >10 VDC, >4 mA and a PWM signal. This allows the controller to operate without its own power supply. Refer to your EC fan’s technical data sheet for this information. Ruck or Can-Fan with EBM-papst motors, Primaklima and Systemair use a PWM signal.

• If the EC fan has 2 wires and provides Signal-GND, a power supply is required.
• If the EC fan has 3–4 wires and provides Signal-GND-VDC >10 V/35 mA, no power supply is required.
